Chinese for
Young Learners

Where Chinese meets wonder.Where smiles spark stories.Where your inner child feels at home.

Live online Mandarin for children growing up abroad — taught by a mom who is raising two multilingual kids in Italy herself.

Why I teach kids

It Started with
My Daughter's Smile

When my daughter was little, her smile lit up every day. She brought out the joyful, imaginative little girl inside me — and made me realize how much I wanted to keep that childlike wonder alive.

As she grew older, her smile slowly faded, and I began to see that growing up doesn't always mean being happy. That's when I made the choice to step into the world of children and help them learn Chinese in a way that feels fun and creative.

I don't just teach Chinese. I'm here to nurture each child's smile, imagination, and curiosity for learning.

Raising Multilingual Kids
Abroad Can Feel Lonely

If you're a parent trying to keep Chinese alive at home, these may sound familiar.

01

A solo battle for the language

My kids would find the courage to speak Chinese — and adults would switch to Italian before they could find their words. Just one more minute of patience would have let their courage bloom.

02

“Stop the Chinese, you're confusing them”

When my children were quiet at school, teachers told me to speak only Italian at home. Even family and friends wondered if I was holding them back. I carried that weight alone.

03

No materials that fit

Chinese books were outdated or out of step with European education. I hauled suitcases of books from Asia back to Italy and still couldn't find what my kids truly needed.

Struggles turned into strength

Today, They Switch Between
Three Languages

Looking back, those years of feeling helpless were not in vain. The challenges eventually turned into my children's confidence — and their wings.

Today they move effortlessly between Mandarin, Italian and English, with independent, thoughtful minds. Everything I learned on that journey now goes into every lesson I teach.

You are not alone — we are all in this together.

My approach

Inspired by
Maria Montessori

The legendary Italian educator's philosophy kept me grounded — I turned our home into a “mini-Montessori classroom.” Her principles shape every lesson.

🌱

Independence

Kids do it themselves and own their progress.

🌍

Multilingualism

More languages aren't confusing — they're rich stimulation.

🔭

Fearless Exploration

Curiosity leads, mistakes are welcome.

🧩

Discipline

Gentle structure and routines that build real habits.

In my classroom

Every Lesson Starts
with a Story

Then we bring Chinese to life with science, drawing, maths and drama — so kids use the language, not just memorise it.

📖01

Story

Every lesson begins with a story I've adapted to be close to real life — so new words connect to the world kids actually live in.

🔬02

Science

Kids learn Chinese through hands-on experiments — they watch, guess and describe what happens, all in Chinese.

🎨03

Drawing

Drawing sparks children's endless imagination and gives them a joyful way to show what they've learned.

🔢04

Maths

Counting, shapes and number games in Chinese turn practice into play.

🎭05

Drama

Acting out the story helps kids speak with confidence — and remember every word.

My Own Materials,
Designed for Your Child

After years of searching for the right tools, I decided to create my own. My materials are built for children growing up outside the Chinese-speaking world — and in tune with European ways of learning.

Characters, pinyin and speaking grow together, step by step, so reading and writing feel achievable instead of overwhelming.

Amy is teaching my 8-year-old son, and he looks forward to each lesson. Amy makes every session interesting and engaging. I am amazed at how much effort and thought she puts into preparing each lesson. She is not only very professional but also friendly and clearly knows how to communicate effectively with children.

Professor Amy is giving lessons to my 15-year-old son. He tells me that she is a fantastic person and explains the topics better than his teacher at school. I am really happy to have found her and I hope she helps my son improve more and more in learning Chinese.

P.S.: we also tried another teacher (just out of curiosity), my son said there is no comparison.
